As a conclusion of the latest incidents in Germany, an increased number of supermarkets precautionally took Spanish cucumbers from their range. Yesterday, the Robert Koch Institute spoke out a general recommendation for not consuming any raw tomatoes, cucumbers and salads.

Even Dutch cucumbers are still under suspicion to be responsible for affecting EU countries with the spreading E. coli Virus.

The number of persons who might have been infected with the EHEC bacteria is estimated at over 700. Therefrom, possibly 214 are said to have serious diseases.
