Egypt: Free elections to start on November 28th – The 28th of November 2011 will be a historical date in Egypt, when the first free elections after the Mubarak-regime will be held.

Egypt-Elections-2011In the country of the former dictator Mubarak, a whole new parliament will be selected. This was decided by the governing military advice.

Differently than in other countries, the elections however are about to take place in three phases.

Therefore, the last phase should be terminated in January 2012. Also the 2nd house of parliament (Schura) will see another election.

The last elections in the year 2010 were accompanied of some irregularities, which caused in the long run also the revolt against Mubarak.

The former government party NDP may not be on the list, since it was dissolved by the military council.
