Floods-PakistanFloods in Pakistan threaten south – A large number of helpers in one of Pakistan´s southern cities, Shadad Kot, strengthened numerous River dams to avoid further heavy flooding – but nevertheless, most of the 350,000 inhabitants of the region already resettled.

Shadad Kot in Sindh province is currently the next metropolitan area to be in danger of the south-bound moving floods of the River Indus.

Yaseen Shar, speaker of the City Council, said on Monday that already the majority of the population made its way in refugee camps or in safer cities due to the impending threat.

Local charities, the Pakistani army and international agencies provide food, water, medicine and shelter to the refugees, but millions haven`t received help yet.
