Airlines black list: New EU ban for various unsafe airlines – Following its quarterly rotation, the EU has now updated the infamous „blacklist“ of banned airlines in Europe.
Through the past years, the list includes more than 280 airlines by now who are not allowed to start within the EU, neither to land. Among complete bans, the list also contains numerous restrictions.
For example, only parts of the Iran Air`s aircraft fleet (Airline of the Islamic Republic of Iran) are tolerated in European airspace.
The „Airlines blacklist“ was installed since European security requirements are usually higher than it is currently practiced in other continents.
