Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart: The success of „Twilight: Eclipse“ – The hype around the third part of the „Twilight Saga: Eclipse“ seems not only to pay off for the leading actors Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart, since the production company Summit Entertainment recently announced a record profit.

Since the release of the film in July and more than 80 days in the movie theaters, „Twilight: Eclipse“ brought an amount of 300 million dollars solely in the U.S. and Canada.

Compared to the claimed production costs of 68 million dollar, this fact seems to set the bar high for the fourth part of Twilight, „Breaking Dawn“, which will hit movie theaters in 2011.

And even on international level „Twilight: Eclipse“ could shine, since respectable box office earnings of $ 389,500,000 were confirmed. Thus, it didn’t come as a big surprise that the production ranks amoung the 5 most successful movies of the year, behind „Alice in Wonderland, „Toy Story 3″, „Forever Shrek“ and „Inception“.
